I'm back!! (Kinda)

Well, after two months of having this site on hold, I figured I owed to to you guys who've been visiting the site for so long to keep your interest up, just so you guys know that I am still thinking about ya.

Here's what I've added in this update:

- a review of Final Fantasy X
- a new Political Werewolf column, with my analysis of the 2004 Presidential campaign thus far
- a bunch of proposals that I've made in the last few weeks - Either Or, Trust, Think Tank, and a completely revamped proposal for Split Decision

I probably won't be doing another update for a while again - I just thought I'd check in and say hi while I had the chance. Hope this stuff will tide you guys over for now. (And hopefully when I update here again, I'll have good news to go with it.)

Vote early, vote often

Meanwhile, I've been hosting the 2004 Game Show Tournament. We're currently partway through the first round of brackets, but everyone is still welcome to sign up as a judge. If you're interested, you can sign up at Yahoo! Groups and find all the necessary information there.

Let's wrap this thing up

Since the current saga of Ki'rath has only two chapters left, and since I may not get a chance to do much to this site next week, I've decided to post both chapters today. Enjoy!

There's a lot to be said about this

Obviously, the capture of Saddam Hussein would give me a lot to say. My next PoliWolf column has to do with it.

And now, for some bad news

If you read my LiveJournal last week (which reminds me - I fixed the link on the left), you'll notice that I ran into a bit of a conflict between my job search and my leisurely endeavors. It got straightened out, but since then I've realized that my priorities are out of whack. My efforts should be focused more on finding gainful employment somewhere than playing around.

For that reason, I've decided that I need to minimize the number of distractions that get in the way of my main objectives. This website is one of those distractions. Put simply, I'm going to be putting this place on hold for a while.

I will be making one more update on the day after Christmas, removing the music below and returning the page to its normal purple hues. After that, this page will be left alone until I get things in order.

Let me be clear - I am not closing down the site, and I do plan to return in the future. I just think I need to spend my time on more purposeful endeavors right now. I'll still post on the message board, I'll still use my LiveJournal, but I'm not going to worry about adding content to this site for a while.

Hopefully this hiatus (God, I hate that word) will be short, but in the meantime I thank everyone for their understanding, and appreciate your patience while I get my ducks in a row.

God bless.

Bye bye Blurty, Hello LiveJournal

LiveJournal has eliminated its invite codes for free accounts, so I've moved my journal over there. I'll fix the sidebar links on next month's page.

How do you follow that act?

Needless to say, I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to move on from the last chapter of Ki'rath, but remember - Hogan's still got some work to do in this saga. That in mind, Chapter 43 is now available for reading.

It's been awhile, hasn't it?

I haven't had a lot to say about politics for a while - mostly because much of my fervor was devoted to the grocery strike that's looking more and more like a lost cause. But after a spirited discussion on DDRFreak about religious freedom, my political juices got going again. Another PoliWolf column has been added.

How 'bout some tunes?

Like I alluded to in the last update, I've added some timely music to the front page (as you no doubt can tell). It's down on the bottom if you want to turn it off.

Time to spill the beans

If you've been following Ki'rath at all, you know that there has been one thing that Hogan was wanted to know for a long time. Today, Hogan finally learns the truth. But in this next chapter, he learns that there's more to his job than he thought.

Time to get festive again

As you can probably tell, I've changed the color scheme here a bit to reflect the Christmas season. I'll probably throw some MIDIs of Christmas carols up sooner or later.
